Who we are

What we provide

Private, in-person dog training in your home or at an agreed location, in the form of an Initial Assessment Visit and Private Lessons, plus free Community Outings for clients. Prices are on the pricing page and may change; the price you're quoted when you book is the price you pay for that session.

Booking and payment

Sessions are booked one at a time. Payment is due at the session unless we've agreed otherwise. The free adopter assessment requires proof of adoption from a shelter, rescue or foster organization dated within the six months before the visit.

Cancellations

Give as much notice as you can. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged, at Phillip's discretion; sick dogs and real emergencies are always excused. If Phillip has to cancel, you won't be charged and you'll get first pick of the next slot.

Your responsibilities

Tell us the truth about your dog's health and behavior, especially any history of biting or snapping. Keep your dog's vaccinations current and share the records before the first visit. Follow the safety instructions given during sessions, keep your dog on a leash when asked, and supervise children around the dog at all times. You remain responsible for your dog and for any damage or injury it causes.

What we can and can't promise

We promise honest advice, sessions that start and end on time, and a plan you can follow. We can't guarantee any specific behavior outcome; dogs are living animals and results depend on the dog, its health and how much practice happens between sessions. If Phillip believes he can't help your dog, he'll say so and suggest alternatives.

Safety and refusal

Phillip may stop or refuse a session if a person or animal is at risk, if a dog is unwell, or if the information given at intake turns out to be materially wrong. In that case you'll be told why and the session fee for that visit, if any, will be discussed fairly.

Photos

We don't photograph you or your dog for the website or social media without asking you first, and you can say no without it affecting anything.

Law

These terms and the training services agreement are governed by the laws of North Carolina.
